Overview

There are 2 branches of Jury's Inn in Brighton (2019), this is for the hotel on the sea front.

Transport & Parking

The sea front is about a 10 minute downhill walk from Brighton train station. There are also some local buses that stop nearby.

Access

We entered the hotel from the sea front. There was a short staircase handrails on both sides or lift to the reception. On the reception level there was a rear door, with step free access by a ramp, which lead out into the shopping area/ town centre. We had cake and drinks in the café, which had a small staircase with handrails on both sides or via the lift. There was free standing seats, sofas and tables with views of the sea and pier in the café.

Toilets

Large and clean accessible toilet, in reception area, in the corner by the lifts. No key required. There were grab rails. The emergency code didn't reach to the ground. The lighting went on automatically when you went in and went off after about 4 - 5 minutes, but easily came back on when I moved my head/ arms.

Staff

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was very good and efficient.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

We ended up in Jury's Inn, as I was looking for an accessible toilet. We didn't see any public toilets, accessible or otherwise signposted. Brighton was busy when we visited, as it was Pride weekend. We loved Jury's café, we had a great view, it was peaceful and relaxing and nice to escape the crowds for a while. It provided a welcoming space to re-charge our batteries. It was £7 for a dessert, so a bit pricey, but it was a little oasis. Highly recommend.
