Overview

The Jurys Inn hotel is soon to be rebranded, due to commence on 1st December 2022, it will become part of the LEONARDO HOTEL group, and upgraded in many areas. This is one of the better city centre hotels of Birmingham, stylishly decorated, warm and inviting, disabled friendly, cosy, pleasant restaurant, 400 bedrooms with a number of disabled rooms, ideally situated along Broad Street just across the road from the now famous Canal Street area with its many good class restaurants, close to the convention centre, the Birmingham arena with its Symphony hall, Rep theatre, National Sea Life centre, and clubs along Broad Street. It has its own car park, but expensive, stands just a few yards walk away from the Metro tram station which you can pick up at New Street station, and then use this to take you into the heart of the city centre for your shopping experience, so it’s really one hotel to consider when visiting Birmingham. Close to the Metro station on Broad Street, it’s high profile helps it to stand out amongst the crowds (photo 1) with a ramp to take you up to the entrance (photo 2) With automatic doors for your use, which leads inside to a highly polished level and welcoming reception area, with a few booking in desks waiting to help you (photo 4). The reception lounge is very inviting (photo 5) again, spotlessly clean and tidy. The bar has a good selection of well known brands, and continually manned (photo 6) with lots of comfortable seating areas ((photo 7). A further guest support is available opposite reception desk (photo 8) with a passage leading off which leads to the wide spacious lifts and stairs (photo 9) which will take you up to the bedrooms, but there is a pull handle door to get in, before you ride along very well decorated corridors to reach the disabled bedrooms (photo 10) with walk in showers. Back down again by reception and just beyond the bar you will find a very nice restaurant (photo 12) where breakfast and dinner will be served (photo 13) and more very comfortable seating is available (photo 14). The toilets are easily found close by (photo 15) which are basic ladies and gents, no disabled found, and you will need to leave your chair outside if on your own (photo 16) but these are very clean and tidy, but no grab rails. A small lounge area by main front door will lead you to more lifts (photo 17) which you will need to reach your car when leaving, just wide enough for most chairs, and on the lower floor level you will find the car park which can hold 200 cars (photo 18) Upstairs, you will find a small and limited fitness centre, but you need your room key to enter (photo 19). OUR FINAL THOUGHTS We felt it was just lovely inside, welcoming, highly polished floors, attractively furnished, plants everywhere, and for a city centre hotel, we highly recommend it.

Its own small car park can be booked, bit expensive, but ideal if thinking of an overnight stay.

A ramp will take you up into the hotel, automatic door to get in, level access throughout the hotel, with a number of good sized lifts, public toilets but did not see any public disabled toilet, and plenty of seating areas where you can place your wheelchair.
