Overview
This review is only of the restaurant, not the hotel. Access is easy and step free. I have taken a star off because there are some issues with the toilet.
Transport & Parking
The restaurant does not have a car park. There is on-street parking outside but only for 45 minutes - and there was a traffic warden there when we arrived. I dropped my relative off and continued down to the seafront where parking is free. I believe there is also a car park near the railway station, although this is a bit further away. Access to the restaurant is down a wide alley off the street which leads to a pleasant courtyard.
Access
Access is level and easy. The doors are quite heavy but have hooks to hold them back, which I have seen in other Wetherspoon's. The first seating area is spacious but has a lot of high tables with stools. There is another seating area down to the right of the bar which has standard tables.
Toilets
This was difficult to find and does not appear to be signposted. I had to ask two members of staff before I found it. It is not beside the standard toilets (which are signposted) but down past a lot of tables on the right of the second seating area - see photo 6. This can make up difficult to get to if people are sitting there. The toilet is good in that it has a lot of grips and the red cord goes to the floor. However there is a sharp, tight right angled turn to get in and someone had to help me get the wheelchair in and out by holding the outer door open. Inside it is quite tight for a wheelchair user and assistant.
Staff
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The restaurant is close to the seafront and after our meal I was able to push my relative down there. It took less than five minutes There are lowered kerbs, although some are a bit challenging because of the cobbles in the gutter. The seafront has a lovely smooth esplanade with lots of seats and a good view of Broughty Castle.
