Overview
This is a lovely stroll/wheel along the side of the Ouseburn. It's undulating in parts though the paths are good. My walk starts from the parking by the visitor centre /petting farm and goes to the old mill and back. The upper reaches have good paths but are quite steep. Beyond the mill, there are steps so we didn't get past here.
Transport & Parking
There are blue badge spaces by the visitor centre/cafe. These are also next to the Petting Zoo and picnic area. The surface is nice and firm. The path we took leads directly from the parking area.
Access
The path is a good surface and undulates gently. The route we took leads past the now closed restaurant and the banqueting hall/chapel (latter not accessible). There's a downhill bit but it's very short and not too steep. Then the path winds uphill by the picnic field to the old mill, across a small but accessible bridge over the stream. We turned round at this point as there are steps beyond the mill. There are paths branching off at various points but these climb very steeply up the sides of the Dene making them pretty inaccessible.
Toilets
There's an accessible loo inside the cafe/visitor centre.
