Overview

Jamboree Foodfest & Bar is a restaurant, accessible separately but connected to the Ibis Styles on Portland Street. The menu is varied, including small plates like fish cakes, falafel, and calamari, as well as hearty mains like burgers, chicken curry, and miso salmon. Sides include chips, onion rings, and salads. For dessert, they offer chocolate brownies and Eton mess. Drinks range from world beers and cocktails to soft drinks and coffee. There is a 10% table charge, and the drinks are fairly expensive, with some beers costing as much as £7.50.

Transport & Parking

4

Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station is located 0.4 miles from Ibis Styles. There are plenty of buses that run along Portland Street, and the Manchester Piccadilly Gardens Metrolink is 367.5 metres from the entrance. There is no on-street parking at this location, though there are private car parks throughout the city.

Access

3.5

There's level access throughout the restaurant and plenty of seating. They also offer breakfast, but many of the food items are set back on the table, which can make them difficult to reach. There's no lowered section at the bar or alternative communication formats employed at this location.

Toilets

3.5

There’s an accessible toilet on your left as you exit the restaurant into the hotel lobby area. This toilet requires a RADAR key to enter, and the door opens outwards. The toilet is functional, featuring a small sink with a lever-style tap and grab rails on both sides. The toilet seat is at a standard height, with grab rails on either side. The red emergency cord hangs to the left when seated, but while it hangs to the floor, it’s shorter than it should be. There’s also a baby changing station in the room.

The staff are nice, when I explained why I was taking photos they were happy to show me around.
