Overview

Accessible for a manual wheelchair user with strong arms as there are some steepish parts. Accessible loo which is basic but does the job. Ramps to gift shop/tea shop etc. Parking not great due to gravel, but staff spontaneously said that I could park on the Tarmac drive.

Transport & Parking

Flat parking area but on large gravel, perfect for embedding your wheels into. I managed to back wheel balance myself across the worst of it, but I can't pretend that it was dignified....

Access

Given that the site is fairly hilly, it was good. There were ramps to all areas and it is definitely manageable for a manual wheelchair user if you have a good breakfast inside you.

Toilets

Basic but functional. Well signed, a good ramp, lots of space, some handles. Basically a posh shed, but it did the job.

Staff

The person directing cars into the car park was a bit clueless when we asked about accessible parking, but once he saw me struggling across the gravel he came over and said we could move the car onto the Tarmac, so perhaps we weren't explicit enough to start with....

Anything else you wish to tell us?

We saw lots of lovely donkeys and horses, including a 4 day old donkey who was truly the star of the show. Beautiful setting, oh and entry is free! Donations are welcomed, but there is no charge for entry. Bargain!
