Overview

Shopping malls often offer the most accessibility and Lakeside is no different. Easy access to a large number of shops ! My idea of heaven.

Transport & Parking

There is almost a whole floor designated for disabled access in one of the many car parks but each car park has disabled spaces. There is also a mobility centre where you can borrow scooters and wheelchairs. You DO need to book these in advance usually. You can also access the centre by bus and train but I have not tested either of these options.

Access

The whole centre is step free on 3 levels or has access by lift so you can easily get from floor to floor.

Toilets

There are toilets throughout the centre and at each venue there are disabled toilets available.

Staff

Staff are available in all shops to assist you and are usually very friendly and the centre has customer service desks where staff can help you.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

I can recommend going up to the Food Court on the third floor - there are three lifts to allow access. Good choice of places to eat but one of the newest is Patisserie Valerie - and if you're a fan of good coffee and great cake this is for you. Perfectly accessible and although you have to order at the counter the lovely staff bring everything to your table so no worries about carrying trays etc !!
