Overview
The museum has plenty to keep you occupied all day. Ramped access from the right hand side of the building (schools entrance), plenty of accessible toilets and a reasonably priced cafe. Staff very helpful. Best to visit as early as possible to avoid the crowds
Transport & Parking
There is blues badge parking in site which you must book in advance but it is also only 10/12 minutes/push from Waterloo station. The Imperial War Museum website is very helpful and easy to follow.
Access
Very easy to find if you check website befor you arrive as the entrance is on west side (right side) of the building. You then have a short 15 metre push to the main entrance hall.
Toilets
There are. Two large accessible toilets under the main staircase (male and female) and 8 further toilets. see website map.
Staff
Staff were friendly. The Holocaust exhibition occupies 2 floors and there is a small lift within the exhibition. If you require the toilet one of the guards will personally show you the way to the toilet, wait and take you back to where you were within the exhibition.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
For a London venue the cafe was very reasonably priced and the food was above average. Layout not ideal but as usual I am always surprised by the kindness of other visitors to make space for me.
