Visit to town and beach

Overview
We visited the town while on holiday in the area. There are a number of car parks in the town , most have disabled parking spaces. But on our visit they were all full. So we parked on the road. Parts of the town are on a slope the pavements on the whole are ok and enough for other to get past you. There were plenty of slopes and lower kerbs allowing you to cross the road, although some shops etc would be difficult to access due to steps . But on the whole I would say it was better than other towns we’ve been too. I presume this is because it’s such a holiday destination, plenty of older people also visit and stay in the area. We also went down to the seafront and went along the promenade. Which was easy to access and certainly a smooth ride in the wheelchair. There were quite a few cabins along here selling ice cream, candy floss , things for the beach as well as food. There were also trips out to seal island but these did not look as if they were accessible for disabled people. No one was around who ran these trips to ask. The sea life centre is also on the promenade which looked like it was mostly accessible but enquire first before visiting as it did not say on the information board outside. It would have Ben nice to be enable to get down onto the beach but this isn’t possible due to lack of slopes and no beach wheelchairs . Overall it was a nice afternoon out getting plenty of fresh air.
Transport & Parking
Most car parks. Had some disabled parking but think you would have to arrive early to get one . There is on road parking as well.
Access
Despite part of the town being on a slope, there were plenty of slopes down with lower kerbs to allow you to get across the road , pavements on the whole were ok. Access to some shops and places to eat limited due to either steps or catering well for disabled guests.
Toilets
Assume there must be. Disabled toilets in the town but we didn’t see any. A family member who has visited Hunstanton a lot over the years told us that often the toilets are awful and not well maintained, they would only use in an emergency.
