Overview
Hulme Park is a public green space featuring football pitches, a basketball court, skate ramps, and a play park. There are walking and wheeling routes throughout the landscaped park, perfect for a peaceful wander or a breath of fresh air. It's a welcome and tranquil oasis in an otherwise busy area.
Transport & Parking
There are standard parking spaces around the perimeter of the park on Jackson Crescent. The 53, 250, 256, and 263 bus services all stop on Stretford Road, which is a three-minute walk from the park.
Access
The wide paths are mostly level throughout, making it easy to traverse whether walking, running, or wheeling. There are picnic benches in the park for those who want to enjoy a pre-packed snack or take a rest. The small play park has a metal grate at the entrance, which didn't cause any issues for my manual wheelchair, but it may pose challenges for those using walking sticks or long canes. The park features spring rockers, swings, slides and climbing frames. There aren't any wheelchair-accessible swings or playsets but there is a ground-level roundabout, that can accommodate a wheelchair user.
Toilets
There are no toilets at this location.
