Disabled Access Day 2017
The Visit Parliament team is delighted to be supporting Disabled Access Day again on Friday 10 March and Saturday 11 March 2017.
Parliament is committed to promoting equality and improving accessibility for everyone by ensuring that the buildings are as accessible as possible, and that our team have been trained to welcome and assist visitors with all types of needs.
If you are visiting on Friday 10 March for a Members' tour or other parliamentary business, or on Saturday 11 March with a purchased ticket for an audio or guided tour, please stop by our Disabled Access Day stand in Westminster Hall. Members of the Visit Parliament team will be available between 10am and 4pm to answer questions about all aspects of accessibility and advise about:
- Step-free and wheelchair access
- New online guide for visitors with autism
- Handheld BSL guides, hearing loops and signing options
- Tactile tours for blind and partially sighted visitors
- Changing Places toilet and other facilities
- Welcome for assistance dogs Parliament’s Access Statement
