Overview

Honey and Co is a small chain of Middle Eastern restaurants in London. This review is for their Store Street branch. It is in a side street off Tottenham Court Road. The store street branch has a deli counter for take away food as well as a seated restaurant section. It is step free and had an accessible toilet. The food is amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. At time of writing it is not open on Sundays. I visited with a friend who is a wheelchair users, so I have included her comments about access in this review.

Transport & Parking

The nearest step free tube is Tottenham Court Road. Also close by is Goodge Street which is not step free. There are several buses that stop very close by on Tottenham Court Road.

Access

ENTRANCE The entrance while being step free is accessed by a short, but slightly steep, permanent slope, see photo. When my friend arrived in her manual wheelchair she appreciated a bit of help to get her in but really enjoyed wheeling out. There is a glass siding entrance door which was difficult for her to open from her wheelchair, and she had some help with the door. DELI Immediately inside the restaurant is a deli counter area, which I did not use or photograph (sorry). RESTAURANT The restaurant is entered via the deli area. There are free standing tables and chairs. The staff were helpful in letting us adjust our table to meet our access needs. There was a wide aisle and a nice large space behind where my friend sat, which made it easy for her to manoeuvre her wheelchair. However, some of the chairs and tables were closer together.

Toilets

The toilet area is entered with a manual door which opens out to a small passage way. The first toilet cubicle is the accessible toilet. There is an manual door and my friend found the space adequate but snug for manoeuvring her manual wheelchair into the space. Once inside the accessible toilet there was more space. There were grab rails and an emergency cord, but it was tied round the grab rail, so I untied it. The toilet was clean, tidy and well maintained.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were seated quickly even through we had not made a reservation. Service was very attentive.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The food is amazing. I had a Vegan Christmas pumpkin & cranberry on sourdough sandwich, which was a fabulous selection of flavours. My friend had a bun. I think it was the Bloomsbury bun. Then we shared a Butternut squash & pecan cake, which was outstanding. Highly recommend with great food, service and ambiance. Also its accessible and comfortable. Will definitely return.
