Overview
Its rare that we go somewhere where everything we need has been thought of and an overnight stay is so easy. Accessibility has been beautifully integrated in the design so that its not a focal point, everything is just flows well. The cottages are incredibly spacious and very peaceful. We wanted to stay for longer and will most definitely be back!
Transport & Parking
We drove and there are parking spaces just in front of our cottage. The only reason I've given 3 stars is because its a bit tricky for disabled people to get to via public transport. I'm not sure if there is local community transport which has accessible vehicles, but I'm sure the Paxton Centre would know about that.
Access
The access is so good you don't even think about it. Highlights for us were: Wide doorways and corridors. Openplan sitting room with lots of space. Our cottage had 2 bedrooms downstairs with ceiling hoists. HUGE wetroom/shower-room with hoist. We brought our own shower chair. Profiling beds in the bedrooms. Peaceful terrace
Toilets
There was a large accessible loo that is separate to the wet room.
Staff
David and all the staff at the Paxton Centre went out of their way to make our visit as easy and enjoyable as possible. Jan has also been hugely helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The Paxton Centre (onsite) offers various complementary therapies, massage etc. I wish we could have stayed longer! Looking forward to coming back!!
