Overview
Home Bargains is part of a well know store chain that sell a range of different items from house old items like towels to bottles of Win. Access to the store is via two large automatic doors that side open. Just before this there is a canopy over the area where they keep the store shopping carts etc. There was also items being displayed in this area and as a result there is a lack of space and it can be difficult to access the shopping carts . Once in side the store there a overhead signs that give you an idea of what you will find in that area the lighting is off the standard you expect. The store has normal standard shopping storage and as a result there are items that are difficult to get to if you are in a Wheelchair however there is normal staff on the shop floor who can help with this if required
Transport & Parking
There are 6 spaces available and very clearly marked these were empty during or visit there are mother and child spaces next to them. The local bus services between Coatbridge and Airdrie all stop near the store however it is a busy road to get across at peek times
Access
Once you got past the main door and in to the store there are signs up indicating what is available in each area. However as you go round the store you come across items being displayed at the end of an aisle this making less space available. There was even items behind the check out area again making the passageway narrower. There is one checkout marked for wheelchair and prams but while it is a good width again there were item being displayed behind the checkout on your way out. The exit door is also automatic and you are back to the obstacles you pass to go in
Toilets
No Toilets available
Staff
The will do what they can to assist people however when the staff have large trollies on the shop floor restocking goods it can be an additional hurdle to get past. There was a large que at the checkout however they were quick to open another one up
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Over all it is what you expect from these cut price stores and the goods they provide The store is opposite Albion Rovers Football ground on Coatbridge Main St
