A wonderful walk from the harbour to the beach

Overview
Although the beach would only be accessible with difficulty the harbour walk more than made up for it .
Transport & Parking
I drove to the beach car park on Beach Road. It’s a Pay and Display Car park although you can pay by card ( instructions on the Pay and Display machine). The car park is large and mainly hard standing. There are a very limited number of Blue Badge spaces but if you don’t need one of those there was ample room to park early on in the day.
Access
From the car park there is a slight slope to the harbour walk . It’s hard standing all the way with stunning views across the outer harbour. There is a little train that does the majority of the one mile walk but I didn’t see if it was accessible. The beach isn’t really accessible. There is a very steep slope to a wooden walkway at the bottom which travels about 40 yds along to the beach and then you step off into sand. There is no where to park up a scooter and the sand was too deep for ordinary wheels.
Toilets
There are toilets , my husband said the gents was clean and tidy and there was a specific disabled toilet but as I didn’t use it I can’t say what it’s like.
Staff
The staff in the Wells Beach Cafe were lovely, there is seating indoors and they let you in the exit door so you don’t have to negotiate a queue. There was plenty of room for my scooter and the tables were well spaced. All the usual Covid requirements.
