Overview

Fantastic boardwalk down through the woods to the edge of the beach, with an amazing view over the bay. Sheltered from the wind by the surrounding landscape. Such a treat to feel so surrounded by nature.

Transport & Parking

Disabled parking is at the very top of the car park, nearest the entrance. Approx 8 spaces but not individually marked. Lots of space to use ramps etc Payment machine screen is approx 4ft high. As with all carparks in the area, there is no discount for blue badge holders.

Access

Paved road up to the boardwalk with a small raised edge (approx 2cm) to the wooden platform. There are a couple of benches along the route. Approx 10 min walk. The boardwalk is only wide enough for one scooter, with soft sand and a dip at the edges in parts. There are no passing places so some areas would be impossible to pass another scooter or wheelchair. The viewing area is large with two benches and a detailed information board at the front edge. Room for two wheelchairs/scooters next to the benches, plenty of room to the rear of the space.

Toilets

Disabled toilet in The Lookout building by the carpark, big enough for a mobility scooter to enter. Signage outside the door, so limited turning space when reversing.
