Good for London

Overview
Nearly makes it as a really good place for wheelchair users to stay. One or two issues reduce its score and detailed below, but as an independent wheelchair user who has to use hotels in London , this one works better than most , both in terms of access , facilities and central location.
Transport & Parking
Access
Accessible permanent ramp to entrance and automatic doors which make life easy. Some angled planters to stop cars parking and blocking ramp are a good idea but makes turning tight which could be an issue for larger chairs. Lack of lowered kerb an street pavement means a short journey in the road to get in or out of entry to/from hotel
Toilets
Didn't test public facilities on ground floor, so can't comment.
Staff
Helpful and friendly.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Wheelchair accessible bedrooms good size with large bathrooms , good height loo and grab rails. Washbasin at wheelchair height with lever taps. Replacing the ubiquitous and disabled unfriendly overbath shower with a level access shower would really serve disabled people and there is plenty of space to do it. Electronic room keys which you wave in front of the door to unlock are great benefit to someone like me with weak hands and grip One gripe :only one lift deep enough to take wheelchair , but shares a rotation with 3 others, so can take time to access. Needs independent call system
