Overview
A friend and I, both disabled, stayed at this hotel for four nights. She suggested booking it because she knew that PAs get complimentary rooms. Although we found it difficult to initially book, once we did, we arrived to find the service excellent.
Transport & Parking
There was ample disabled parking front and back. You had to register your registration number so your car didn't get clamped but the staff at more than happy to help with this.
Access
The accessible rooms were completely accessible. Wide doors so a wheelchair can fit through, a completely accessible wet room (providing you can walk) and a huge double bed. Although the bathroom is tiled so that it is a wet room, when wet it gets slippery. I asked reception if they had a pair of flip-flops that I could wear in the shower as I did not want to fall over but although they didn't have any, they provided me with enough towels to put on the floor so I wouldn't slip.
Toilets
As usual, disabled loos were not big enough for a wheelchair, a disabled person, and their PA but they were there and very clean
Staff
Throughout our stay, the staff bent over backwards to be helpful. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble and I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in a wheelchair.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I can walk around flat surfaces that not stairs or steps
