Overview
We had been to an event in St. Andrews and decided to stay in Dundee over night. The hotel is in the centre of Dundee next to a pay and display carpark if you park on level three there is access straight into the hotel via a ramp . But unfortunately no disabled parking on this level . But this wasn’t a problem as the car park wasn’t busy. Parking is free between 8pm and 8am Once you go up the ramp into the hotel you are right at reception . Our room was perfect plenty of space for the wheelchair to get around the bed , sockets at a suitable height for a wheelchair user. The bath room was a wet room with shower seat and grab rails . A big plus was the fact that it had a raised toilet. Plenty of space for the wheelchair in the bathroom, we sat in the bar in the evening which had views out towards the river Tay . The bar had a good choice of drinks and nibbles .Staff were helpful and they also have a bar menu if it’s needed. Breakfast the next day was good. Plenty of choice of both hot and cold food. Again staff were helpful. We would stay here again if in the area.
Transport & Parking
The only reason I gave it 4.5 was because the are no disabled parking bays on level three. Which is where the ramp is to gain access to the hotel. But this wasn’t a problem as the car park wasn’t busy .
Access
Access into the hotel from level three of the car park is good up a ramp straight to reception. There are lifts to all the floors and plenty of room to get about the hotel
Toilets
We didn’t use these as we had a fully accessible room
Staff
Staff were friendly and helpful
