Overview
I have been to Hetland Hall Hotel a few times. It’s a lovely hotel, views are gorgeous, interior is great. However, more could be done to accommodate wheelchair users such as disabled parking and a drop curb.
Transport & Parking
There is no disabled parking which I seen. So being a wheelchair user, I need room to get out and back into my car and have the confidence that no one will park next to me to obstruct me getting back into my car. I parked down at the main car park and there is no drop curd to get up onto the pavement. They do have a very small movable ramp to get up onto the pavement but caution is advised as someone could easily tip out of their chair when using it.
Access
Steps to the front of the building but a lovely Ramp at the side of the building for access through double doors. Some carpet but not to bad to push over.
Toilets
Accessible toilets in the function area, however I’m not sure what a person is to do if they are just having a meal or staying at the hotel how there meant to access the toilet when a function is actually on! Gate crash it 🤦🏻♂️
