Overview

They still have the original old lifts to transport heavy cotton. The lifts work and are spacious enough for a wheelchair to turn around in. It was great because the lifts felt like it added to the experience not took away from it. My powerchair could get around just fine but some of the flooring was a little uneven but didn’t effect me but might be be a problem depending on your wheelchair

Transport & Parking

Could park the vehicle right outside the building, didn’t need to use the blue badge in the end

Access

They still had the original lifts which I could use as a wheelchair user which was super cool. Good standard Disabled toilets although i didn’t notice a changing place toilet. They let me play with the cotton which for me spinning cotton with my fingers is kinda like a stim toy for me and my autism. Some of the machines are very loud but at the same time quite soothing (kinda like white noise) but I recommend if you are sensitive to loud noise to come prepared with ear defenders, noise cancelling headphones or earplugs etc just in case. The staff are very good at warning you before they turn on the machines about the loud noise.

Toilets

Standard accessible toilets, a little on the small side as I couldn’t turn around fully meaning I had to leave the toilet backwards. It had grab rails and a red cord hanging all the way down. No changing place toilets (or at least I’m not aware of one there)

Staff

They were helpful and honest when we asked if they were wheelchair accessible saying that there was step free access but some of the ground is uneven which meant i could prepare for this. The staff also warned us about the noise just before turning on the machines.
