Overview

Leaving Heathrow l was a bit apprehensive however the wheelchair was waiting for me and the airport staff took me straight through to my taxi point. The return journey however was horrendous all good in Barbados but no wheelchair at Heathrow. Last off the plane, three changes of wheelchair with waiting at all points. Asked why l couldn’t walk up the long slope. I have a spinal cord injury believe you me if l could l would!! Parted from my carer. In all l took 2 hours to get to arrivals whereupon my taxi charged me an extra £20 for waiting so long. I sent a strong letter of complaint to Heathrow which was completely ignored.
