Food In The Sunshine

This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Powerchair
Overview
These are two food vans that are located beside the V&A Dundee, both are open in the Spring and Summer and only one of them is open in the Autumn and Winter.
Transport & Parking
There is disabled parking right beside the food vans which are free of charge to park here if you have a blue badge. The train station is right across the road and all other public transport is nearby as the food vans are located at the waterfront near the city centre of Dundee.
Access
You order your food from the window at the side of the food van, the window is quite high but I was still able to talk to the staff member to order my food. My carer paid as the card machine was too high and she collected our food. The menus were easily readable beside the window of the food van. There is a few table and chairs to sit at across from the food vans and benches where you can sit and look over the water.
Toilets
There are public toilets at the bike rental office beside the food vans, including a disabled toilet. The closest Changing Places toilet is in the V&A Dundee.
Staff
All staff I spoke to at each food van were very friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I didn’t see any Covid-19 precautions in place when I visited but with the food vans being outside I felt safe when visiting. If you don't want to sit outside you are able to take your food into the V&A and sit downstairs.
