Venue Description

A 4 star wheelchair accessible bungalow close to the Suffolk coast. Rated as level 1 & 2 for mobility by Visit England, we offer 4 large bedrooms and a wet room in a step-free environment. Bedroom 4 has separate access and is ideal for carers or teenagers. Large garden. Located in a peaceful conservation area, central to many Suffolk attractions and beauty spots, with a top golf course and the County Show-ground on the doorstep. The Heritage coast is a short drive away.

Accessibility

Rated level 1 & 2 for mobility access with Visit England. There is level access throughout and a large wet-room equipped for independence or assisted use, including a choice of wall or wheeled shower chair. All beds can be accessed on both sides. Hire of scooters or wheelchairs can be arranged. The garden is flat with a path around the property from the front driveway to the back patio. Double doors lead into the house with level threshold. Internal doors are wide enough for standard wheelchairs, powered and manual. We have had many people stay with various needs.

Toilets

The wet room has a toilet with rails on both sides and another rail beside the sink. There is a raised seat available if required.

Staff

The owners live next door with their family, including their daughter who is a wheelchair user. they are used to hiring equipment from local companies and have a good knowledge of where to go in the area with regard to accessibility.
