Overview
The main entrance is accessed up a long, smooth, relatively shallow ramp, with an automatic door. Inside the reception desk has multiple lowered areas making communicating with staff much easier. Some of the corridors and doorways are narrow but surpass-able with care. The café tables are tightly packed together, and access to the outdoor terrace is down two steps. There is a ramp to the terrace, but it requires going back through reception and round to the back door, and there is a narrow garden gate to get through. Using the lift requires the presence of a staff member, and once upstairs the only way of communicating with the reception staff to go back down is to send a companion down the stairs.
Transport & Parking
The car park has multiple disabled parking spaces, and there are several bus stops nearby. The surrounding pavements have steep curb drops and potholes which can make pedestrian access problematic.
Access
Narrow corridors and doorways, sometimes blocked by clutter. Ramp access to the terrace is awkward as it means going round a long way. No independence when using the lift.
Toilets
There are multiple disabled toilets, including at least one on the ground floor that has full changing facilities available.
Staff
The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, being well accustomed to wheelchair users among their clientele.
