An alternative shopping venue to the town centre
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair, Mobility Scooter
Overview
The Garden Centre is in reality a shopping complex. There are two wheelchairs available by the entrance to the building We came to buy trainers at Cotswold, which was accessed by a lift. The next destination was the toilets, these were at the far end of the complex. Finally the upstairs cafe was accessed by another lift. Cafeteria style , good choices and prices, very friendly helpful staff and an outside terrace looking across to Loughrigg Fell.
Transport & Parking
Two spaces immediately outside.this may be inadequate at busy periods
Access
Ramp to entrance and automatic doors.
Toilets
Large loo, handrails plentiful, wheelchair level wanna basin and hand dryer
Staff
In the cafeteria style cafe the staff were very helpful and carried our food and drink to the table, offering to move chairs to accommodate the wheel chair I was using
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Town centres can be a big challenge, I would recommend this venue as a user friendly shopping experience for people with mobility issues.
