Outstanding Cruise Terminal - Very Disabled Friendly
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Mobility Scooter
Overview
We have sailed on cruise ships all over the world and by far this is the best cruise terminal we have ever used. The disabled are fastracked throughout the check-in process and personally escorted by one of the great staff to the ship entry gate. There is a dedicated disabled lift which is wheelchair friendly
Transport & Parking
If you park your vehicle in the cruise car park, or the short term ferry car park, there are numerous disabled bays. No free parking though.
Access
As mentioned, the disabled are treated like royalty in this cruise terminal and nothing is too much for the superb staff to handle.
Toilets
In the terminal itself, the only toilets are in the small café area, which has a ramp for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The ladies toilet only is marked as a disabled access one, so gents beware!
Staff
Excellent cruise liaison staff in every department, including the manager, Graham
Anything else you wish to tell us?
For those no going to the cruise terminal by private car or taxi, the Harwich International railway station is adjacesent to the cruise terminal and has direct links to Liverpool Street Station, London
