Overview
HARRINGTONS ON THE HILL, CASTLE STREET, KENILWORTH. CV8 1NB www.harringtonsonthehill.com A pleasant small restaurant which receives regular high marks. Standing along a row of old buildings, the restaurant is simple, cosy and offers good value wholesome lunch and dinners. Following sat NAV directions, you will arrive by Castle Street, and across the green you will see a number of 1700’s cottages, now tiled with red roofs (photo 1) and on the corner stands the Queen and Castle Inn (photo 2) and around the other side at the front of the inn you will find the car park (photo 3) There are four disabled bays available (photo 4) and it is only a short push away to reach the restaurant (photo 5) It’s not a bad ride, level enough (photo 6) and the row looks inviting as you arrive. There is a very low step to get up (photo 7) and you will enter a very small restaurant (photo 8) all very clean and tidy, with old wooden table and chairs, BUT IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO FIND A SPOT TO PARK YOUR CHAIR (photo 9) so we advice booking in advance and let them know you will be bringing a wheelchair, you need to book a table anyway as it’s a popular restaurant. We left wheelchair outside, folded up, and just stumbled in anyway, to be led to our reserved seat (photo 10) a nice quiet little corner. The menu was limited but a nice selection, and we chose two very delicious lunch menu choice, very well prepared, and cooked properly, and enjoyed lunch. You can pay afterwards at the small office corner (photo 11). Other reviews indicated it would be a nice meal, and it truly was, so if you can cope with it being a small space, and can manage without your chair, we would recommend the HARRINGTONS on the hill to you. OUR FINAL THOUGHTS If you like old miss Marple tea room like small settings, this will please you.
Transport & Parking
The drive is pleasant enough, depending on how you arrive here, and a car park is handy for the restaurant
Access
The car park is level, and only a short push for your carer. It is level to arrive and just a small tiny step to get up. It’s a bit tight inside though, so let them know in advance you are disabled and they will look after you.
Toilets
No disabled toilets, and general toilets are upstairs anyway, so no use to disabled.
Staff
Friendly and helpful enough, looked after us well.
