Overview
Restaurant overlooking the River Boyne, serving lovely food, from breakfast and lunches until about 4.30-5pm. It has good access but no accessible toilet.
Transport & Parking
Drogheda railway station is about a 15-20 minute level walk away. There are buses that stop close by.
Access
There is a slight entrance step and double manual entrance doors, only one of which was open when I visited. The restaurant is on the ground floor and once inside there is step free access. There are free standing tables and chairs.
Toilets
There is a toilet but it is not accessible.
Staff
Visited Drogheda as this is where my paternal great grandparents were from. Struggled to find a cafe with an accessible toilet. Tried here first and the member of staff went to check if they had grab rails in their toilet, but they didn't. I then went and tried 2 or 3 more places nearby, I got no with no apology when I asked for an accessible toilet, so I went back to Harper as although they did not have an accessible toilet, their staff were not dismissive about it. Service was good and staff friendly and helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a lovely restaurant serving delicious food, including vegetarian options, in nice surroundings. The access is reasonable and the lack of accessible toilet in a cafe appears to be a bit of an issue in Drogheda. Would happily return.
