Overview
Fantastic day out if a nature ramble is your thing (although we were lucky with the weather!). The Visitor Centre to provides an interesting stop off point with plenty of information etc. The nice thing too is that one can choose how far one goes (the group I was in 'walked' up to the resevoir and back (about 2 miles) but could have gone further.
Transport & Parking
My advice would be, drive to this venue - it has a lovely big car park (plus you can only drive so far up the path). Our group got a Social Work bus to the car park and walked the rest.
Access
All the paths in the vicinity are accessible - although some are bumpy or stony. (I did it in m powerchair without much bother!) Level access to and in Visitor Centre.
Toilets
One in the Centre- abit rustic but large and functional.
Staff
None in evidence apart from the volunteers in The Visitor Centre.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
As Wallace might say "a grand day out" although I think you would need an interest in nature/wildlife to appreciate this venue!
