Overview
Great hotel location for Edinburgh & Airport. Easy access for disabled travellers with wet rooms available next to lifts, middle of floor and also at end of floor. There is disabled parking available out side 4-6 spaces, however you are charged £12 per night to park. The person that I dealt with when checking in asked if she could waive or discount this, though was not allowed as it was the General Managers rules. The room was fine, plenty of room for the scooter. Though there was little room between the toilet and lowered basin. Also no soap dispenser at this basin. The soap dispensers for the walk in shower are on the same wall as the seat, so not easy to get to. There is no shower curtain so near enough the whole room gets wet! The bedside light swtiches are also high and not very accessible.

The staff made this stay what it was. From check-in as explained above to the bar staff taking my drink to table. The best of the staff were the ladies that worked the breakfast shifts who got my breakfast with me (it was self service) and brought it to my table. One even came up and gave me a chocolate muffin for later. Edit: I just wanted to add that I complained to Hilton about the parking charge, via an email address I got from their twitter, and they are sending me a cheque to refund the parking charge.
