Overview
The building has recently been refurbished with the addition of better access to the building via new steps and an access ramp to the entrance on Guildhall Square.
Transport & Parking
A carpark with disabled parking is located close to the Guildhall. The local bus station on Foyle Street is a few minutes walk from the Guildhall. Local buses also stop very close to the building.
Access
The front of the building now has better designed steps with railing making it easier to get into the entrance on Guildhall square. There is also a ramp to the same entrance to assist wheelchair users. A very large lift in the building makes it easy to visit all levels. There is level access to most rooms including the main debating chamber.
Toilets
I didn't use the accessible toilets but noticed them on all levels I visited very close to the large modern lift.
Staff
Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They seemed to be very well trained when assisting disabled visitors.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There's a really good cafe at the rear of the building called The Guild. Staff here were helpful and happy to read the menu items to me.
