Overview
The greyfriars is a pub with rooms above in the town of St. Andrews fife. We were visiting the area and had eaten here before. Although there is a step up into the pub if you ask at the bar they will put down a metal ramp for you . The staff cleared a path through the bar as it was busy with people watching the rugby. We had booked a table for our meal. There is a good choice on the menu which suits everyone. The staff were helpful as I have allergies and needed to check on ingredients in some meals. The pub is popular with both locals and students and we had a nice meal. Would go back again when in the area.
Transport & Parking
There is a public car park just round the corner from the pub that has a couple of disabled parking spaces , we had parked in the car park by the council offices as we were going to another event in the town before having dinner
Access
Access to the pub was very good just let the bar staff know your outside and they will put the metal ramp down for you to get access to the bar and tables. If the bar is busy then it’s a tight squeeze getting to the tables but the bar staff with us cleared a path. There enough room at the tables for my wheelchair. Would advise booking a table o make sure you get one in the upper part of the bar. Which is easy to get to.
Toilets
Staff
Staff were very helpful. Putting down the ramp and clearing a path to our table as the pub was busy. Would certainly visit again when in the area
