Overview
Accessible, good food, nice staff.
Transport & Parking
Right at bottom of Lothian Road on corner with Shandwick Place. Taxi can drop off/pick up right outside the hotel entrance on Lothian Rd (where the wee taxi rank is), where there's a gentle ramp to enter/exit the hotel. Alternatively the (flat) entrance directly into the restaurant is from Lothian Street (just round the side of the building), where double doors get you straight in to the restaurant. Loads of buses serving Lothian Road.
Access
It was all flat, with plenty of space to get around. The staff were delighted to assist - raced to open the entrance doors as soon as they saw me coming. It was pretty gloomy inside, as seems to be the current fashion (old person grumble!).
Toilets
The restaurant doesn't have dedicated loos, but the hotel's facilities are pretty close. Had to ask staff to point me in the right direction. Lots of space in the accessible loo. Grab rails. Paper towels on the opposite side of the room to the sink, the logic of which always escapes me.
Staff
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Being greedy people, we ordered all of the 'snacks' in addition to our starters (they were yummy). Lo and behold they arrived at the same time as our starters and we could hardly fit everything on the table. We then saw and heard our waiter giving the chef a hard time because of this - first time I've seen it happen that way round! Re COVID - some of the staff were masked but most weren't, so I'm not sure what the policy is.
