Overview
Govan Bus Interchange is a small bus station located in Govan, four miles from Glasgow city centre. Govan is rich in history and is best known for its now-closed shipyards, which produced over 3,000 ships and featured prominently in Billy Connolly's stand-up routines. The area has a few bars, cafés, and a new bridge across the River Clyde leading to the Transport Museum. The location is served by McGill's and First Bus services and has eight stance
Transport & Parking
On the doorstep of Govan Subway Station, with plenty of convenient bus routes, nearby on-street parking, and several accessible spaces in the local Govan Cross car park, this location has a variety of transport options.
Access
There are eight stances at this location, all of which have automatic sliding doors. Each stance is sheltered by a canopy and enclosed on one side, with wall-mounted metal seats and emergency/information buttons with braille markings. There are screens displaying departure information, but there is no use of BSL, induction loops, or any further alternative formats. All platforms have tactile markings at their edge, and all of the buses are wheelchair accessible. There are several road crossings around the interchange, all of which have tactile markings, traffic lights and dropped kerbs.
Toilets
There are no toilets at the location, but there is an accessible toilet at the nearby Govan Cross Shopping Centre.
