Very helpful airport

Overview
I have travelled through Glasgow airport quite a few times now needing assistance & find the ground staff excellent. Things might not always be smooth running but that is usually weather related or company problems.
Transport & Parking
My transport usually parks in the disabled slots in the short stay car park. This can be very expensive but if they can show proof they were dropping me off or picking me up, with my Blue Badge, it is free.
Access
All areas are level to get into the airport & check in. Inside the airport there are lifts to all other areas
Toilets
Any accessible toilet that I have been to are clean & adequate size wise for a wheelchair. There are grab rails & emergency red cords.
Staff
All the staff I have had to deal with have been excellent, taking good care of me & also having good cheery conversation & jokes.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Getting onto the plane to Shetland usually involves the Ambulift, a ramp up to the plane door or a motorised chair that bumps you up the steps to the plane. This is my least favourite method but when needs must it’s how you get aboard your flight. The staff always explain what is going to happen & I always feel safe in their care. On route to board the plane they are very considerate asking if you need to visit the toilet, want to visit any shops (I’ve been taken to buy Krispy Crème Donuts!!) helping with boarding passes, & through security.
