Safety At The Movies
Visit date:

Overview
This outdoor cinema event is run by Blue Monkey Events and show a number of different movies throughout the summer and possibly other seasons.
Transport & Parking
There is a separate car park for visitors with a blue badge which is located behind the movie screen. When we arrived staff directed us to where the blue badge parking but said my parents where able to help me out of the car beside the cinema screen so I didn't have to drive my wheelchair so far to our space on the grass. The ground of the car park area is covered in small stones but is manageable to drive in a wheelchair.
Access
The outdoor cinema is located on grass next to Glamis Castle and is very spacious. Around the grass there is a slight concrete border that you have to get up to get on to the grass, this is manageable to get up though. People bring their own chairs to the outdoor cinema and even though they had food vans (which I didn't visit), you are also able to bring your own food and drink. From what I can tell you can see the movie screen from any of the seating areas on the grass. I don't know if the organisers offer subtitled movies but it would be great if they did.
Toilets
I didn't use any toilets when visiting so I cannot comment on them.
Staff
All staff that I encountered during our visit were very friendly and helpful with anything that we needed.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I felt very safe whilst visiting the outdoor cinema. All staff were either wearing masks or visors but they also didn't stand near you. Each group of people who booked their tickets got a section on the grass which was spray painted white and socially distanced from the other areas. We were situated near the back and there wasn't people in every area around me which was good. To get to the car park I went around the back of the movie screen which was quiet, with being parked in blue badge car park it meant I didn't have to go near any crowds as there were only two other cars in this car park.
