Overview
Whilst access to the accessible seating was via a long and circuitous route, the access host was exemplary and the view from our seats fantastic. I transferred from my wheelchair so not sure where the seating was for people remaining in their wheelchairs. My only reservation about my seat was it was at the top of a steeply raked section of seating so standing to transfer felt a bit precarious - I think I'd opt to remain in my chair next time.
Transport & Parking
As it's in the West End, driving is a bit of a non starter. Nearest stepfree tube is quite a way. We walked/wheeled from Waterloo which was a good 25 minutes.
Access
Reporting to box office (level access but crowded) access host was summoned. She took us in via stage door a short distance away. We went in a large lift to bar. Then my family went up to seating level by stairs while 2 of us and host squished into a v tiny lift. My carer had to do lots of manoeuvres to fit is all in though host said she had managed to fit a power chair in. Then along v narrow passage past loos, through 2 heavy double doors to auditorium. Seat right next to steps so felt unsafe transferring though host helped. She came back at interval to check all ok. Stowed my chair in disabled loo and brought it back on request. Access is a bit tricky but host made it all go swimmingly.
Toilets
Loo was great. Locked to prevent misuse but staff always nearby. Well equipped. Only issue is very tight to get to door as located in narrow passage by ladies loo. Access host ensured queue for ladies let me pass.
Staff
Gemma the host was lovely.
