Overview
Large car park but no discernible disabled bays. Level immediately by reception but gently sloping round rear of hotel. Small lip to negotiate at main door then level in reception, dining room and lounge. Disabled loo is passable but is the equivalent of a 2 day camel ride away, via circuitous outdoor route!
Transport & Parking
We drove. No accessible parking. If you can park by reception, it's reasonably level. Other parking is a lot further from reception, though there's plenty of it.
Access
Nasty lip at front door made getting in tricky. Carpeted inside. All level. Reasonable circulation space for wheelchair. Route to loo was twisty turny, had awkward door (turn in corridor, inward opening, complicated locking mechanism) to negotiate, via very uneven external path.
Toilets
Clean. Loo very low. Well positioned grab rails. However, easily 90 metres away, via outside bumpy path for most part. Is locked usually as is in their boardroom suite. Not huge though got my wheelchair in it. No space for lateral transfer.
Staff
Polite and courteous. However I wasn't given the option to transfer out of my chair. I did, and we sorted the chairs accordingly. When I said I was heading to the loo, receptionist said she THOUGHT it might be unlocked (luckily it was but it would've been a long walk back for my Carer if it hadn't been).
