Overview
It is a fantastic location and a lovely landmark for the quaint town of Galway.
Transport & Parking
There were multiple disabled car parking spaces located nearest to the several entrances.
Access
The cathedral is very open planned and is spacious all the way around for sufficient mobility requirements and will facilitate people to see all sides of it. Their are access ramps located at both entrances, one at either end of the cathedral.
Toilets
There is one accessible toilet facility, located at one end of the cathedral. It is spacious but it is not clearly sign posted.
Staff
There was not a lot of staff on site to help and assist. The only staff member was working in the gift shop. She was very helpful, however just one person alone was not enough.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I would certainly recommend it to others, however more staff would be beneficial especially on busy days. It would be a nice addition to the cathedral if they opened a cafe, however there are many accessible cafes in Galway already.
