Overview
These gardens are located a little way outside Bury St Edmunds and a re a super place for an afternoon out. The paths are mostly level, either tarmac, grass or bark clippings (so easier for a powered wheelchair than a manual one unless you have a strong pusher! There are bridges over the pond that have been recently restored and are perfectly accessible. In fact there is little of the garden that is inaccessible for a wheelchair user. I think they have recently done some work to improve the accessibility since the garden waas left by its creator to 'Perennial'. There is a good sized accessible toilet, large enought to accommodate wheelchair and carer if necessary. The cafe does tea and coffee and delicious homemade cakes. Highly recommended.
Transport & Parking
