Overview
I flew into Frankfurt Airport from Edinburgh. Frankfurt wasn’t my final destination as I was only flying into Frankfurt to catch a connecting flight to Bremen. Frankfurt International Airport is one of the largest airports in the world so as you can probably imagine having to catch a connection, especially if you are disabled, in Frankfurt is quite a stressful thought. This was my first time connecting at this airport and boy was I impressed with the accessibility! The assistance met me as the aircraft landed as I had booked, the staff were excellently trained in sighted guiding, not just the passenger assist staff but all the staff including the Lufthansa cabin crew! We only had 45 minutes to get through border control, security and get to the other side of the airport to catch my flight to Bremen so after we cleared border control and security they then organised an “airport car” to drive us through the terminal so that I made it to the gate on time.

Access
Toilets
When I arrived at the connecting departure gate I was taken into the Lufthansa lounge to wait for boarding. It was here I visited the accessible toilet which was huge and had all the essentials.
Staff
The staff were friendly, well trained and looked after me very well.
