Overview
Lovely staff, delicious food, full step-free access throughout, and an excellent accessible toilet. Strongly recommended and five stars thoroughly deserved.
Transport & Parking
Southwark Station and Waterloo Station are both fully step-free on the Jubilee Line (no need for ramps or staff assistance) - but check before you travel, because tube lifts are terribly unreliable and often break down. If you come into Waterloo by National Rail, staff are on hand to give assistance. The restaurant is within short walking distance of both stations.
Access
There is seating outside and there is a big step up into the restaurant. A member of staff will bring a good sturdy aluminium ramp if you need step-free access into the restaurant. I was impressed by the skill with which the ramp was deployed. Inside there's plenty of room to move around. Everything is on one level. There is a sticker at the front door (see my photo) welcoming all kinds of guide dogs and assistance dogs.
Toilets
There is a really excellent accessible toilet, well laid-out and with an emergency cord easily within reach. There is just one problems with this toilet which need to be sorted out: there was a large waste-bin in the wheelchair transfer area next to the toilet. This space is emphatically not spare space for bins, etc. It's the space where the wheelchair user parks in order to transfer sideways onto the toilet, so it must be kept free. The bin should not be placed here. If this can be sorted out, then this will be one of my very few Euan's Guide reviews where every single category gets five full stars.
Staff
All the staff we encountered were charming, welcoming, polite, friendly, and professional. Top marks all round.
