Overview

Fountain Court Apartments are not designed to be wheelchair accessible but some of them could be great for guest with other access requirements. I cannot give a high rating in my review as I am a powerchair user and they would not accommodate me as the bathroom were not accessible. That said I did mange to get in and explore several of the flats. If you had a mobility impairment which did not require full time wheelchair use they could well be worth considering.

Transport & Parking

The apartments are spread across several sites. Some have on site parking.

Access

Access in and around the building :- Despite not being designed for wheelchair access I was able to get in three of the sites and visit five of the apartments. I would encourage people to have a conversation to discuss your specific needs. Access in the accessible bedrooms and bathrooms :- Not applicable. Access in the dining area :- In the five apartments I visited I was able to get my powerchair, 68 cm wide and 116 cm in length into the dining area. Access to other facilities :- In the five apartments I visited I was able to get my powerchair, 68 cm wide and 116 cm in length into the kitchen area.

The flexibility and enthusiasm of staff was noted. Whilst being quite open about not being designed for wheelchair access they were willing to explore what might work.

The apartments will possibly be accessible to people who may have other impairments or long term conditions to mine. Certainly worth getting in touch
