Overview
We were looking for a fun and accessible place for beers and pub food for 8 and someone recommended this place - awesome! Got in touch to make a booking - explained that there were 2 wheelchair users in our group. Got a reply saying no problem and that they would reserve some tables for us in the bar as restaurant had a couple of steps. When we got there our table was reserved - the staff member came over to introduce herself - said they didn’t normally do table service in the bar area but they would for our group - super helpful throughout they evening. It’s a great location on the Thames - v near Shakespeare’s globe and the Tate - definitely going to become one of our regular haunts when in London.
Transport & Parking
Lots of stations / buses / piers nearby - we actually walked from our accommodation nearby...
Access
Great! When we got there I saw steps and thought argh! But going around the corner to the other entrance there is a good slopes entrance. This brought us on to the ‘terrace’ where there were lots of tables and people enjoying the sun. It was a little tricky to navigate as there were so many people but not too tricky.
Toilets
Some of the party used it and said was good. It has a radar key which stops people using it.
Staff
Amazing!! Our main server in particular was fab - kept in checking we had everything we needed and provided table service for us even though we were not in a table service area.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Definitely recommend it - going to not only visit again but will tell lots of other folk - an accessible gem in the heart of London!
