Overview
Level access restaurant and bar.
Transport & Parking
There is on street parking outside of the restaurant however, this can sometimes get busy. Around Broughty Ferry there are also various car parks you can park in and blue badge holders can park for free. Broughty Ferry has a train station where trains stop from Dundee and Angus areas, they don’t stop very often though. Buses also pass through frequently too from Dundee and Angus areas, stopping at various bus stops.
Access
As mentioned before Forgan’s is level access with a wide enough door however, the door to enter the venue is quite heavy and there isn’t a touch pad to help open it so if you struggle to open heavy doors you may need some help to open it. It would be good if there was a touch pad to automatically open the door or a doorbell for customers to press in order to tell staff that someone needs help to enter. When you enter Forgan’s it is tight to get past the bar area to the restaurant, especially if it is busy. You can see this area in the second picture below. The restaurant area is spacious and there are more private tables that you can book. All tables are at a good height for wheelchair users.
Toilets
The accessible toilet is big enough for a wheelchair user and someone else to help them. You are able to transfer from the right-hand side of the toilet and there are grab rails at either side. There is space to get under the sink and the mirror is at a good height for a wheelchair user.
Staff
All staff I have spoken to anytime I have visited Forgan’s have always been welcoming and helpful.
