Overview
On a trip to Mdina, we had a bit of difficulty in finding an ‘eatery’ that was wheelchair accessible. Our search came to an end however when we found the Fontanella Tea Garden. Although busy, we found a table in the lovely courtyard. The menu was quite extensive, offering from full meals to snacks, as well as scrumptious cakes which they deliver to homes on the island at reasonable prices. The four of us easily found something that would sustain us. Our order was swiftly taken and, considering how busy the place was, served up reasonably quickly. We all enjoyed our food and drinks and found the prices very reasonable.

Access
It is over 23 years since I ate at the Fontanella Tea Garden. Then I was able to access the seating area upstairs beside the walls of Mdina, affording spectacular views whilst one ate. Whilst I did not have the views this time, the food, drinks and service still made my visit an enjoyable one. Another place to return to if I get back to Malta.
