Overview
Vienna Airport is a substantially larger airport than Edinburgh, here we came across that longer wait having descended steps forward he first time, on a bus that took us no more than 30m, to the terminal where iit as steps to the upper level. Despite this inconvenience for 3 wheelchair users on the flight, Austrian Airline staff could could not have been more helpful. I passed on Euan’s Guide info to them and suggested the look at the website and submit a review. Their wait to access the terminal was longer than ours, but they remarked that despite the logistics they were well supported.
Transport & Parking
Did not use any, connecting flights within theAirport.
Access
It would be my assumption that Vienna Airport was lacking in various areas given it needed upgrading. There as ample signage to and for facilities not a lot of seating other than in the eating and drinking areas, fewer lifts that were small.
Toilets
Did not use.
Staff
The Airport in my opinion had a regional feel about it, not busy though the staff were very warm, friendly but not as tuned in as in Edinburgh and Munich.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Austrian Airlines staff were excellent on the flight, though at the gate to Tirana, there was a substantial delay as the flight was overbooked,it took some time for this to be resolved through offering those who wanted €250 compensation and a free night and a next day flight not to travel.
