Overview
We were in St. Andrews for a talk by Ian Rankin and wanted somewhere for lunch . We found this cafe on south street which is part of the Fisher and Donaldson bakery. Entry to the cafe is up a slight slope. Quite a bit of room to manoeuvre my wheelchair to find a suitable table. They have a good selection of sandwiches, rolls, hot pies, cakes. I had a scone with jam and butter with a pot of tea while my husband had a panini and coffee both were excellent and good value for money, staff were helpful too opening doors for us to get in and out of the cafe, moving chairs for my wheelchair and bringing our food over . We went back again for a hot drink after the talk and again the staff were great.
Transport & Parking
We had parked in the car park by the council offices but it’s not too far from the cafe , there is also on street parking outside the cafe.
Access
Access great wide doorway up a slope to gain entry , staff opened the door for us . Plenty of room inside to get around with the wheelchair. Staff moved chairs so I could put my wheelchair at the table .
Toilets
Large accessible toilet plenty of room for my wheelchair. Raised toilet and grab rails , lower sink with automatic tap ,just put your hand under the tap and the water comes out.
Staff
Staff were fantastic very helpful .
