Overview
The Fionnphort ferry terminal serves the passenger foot ferry over to Iona. There is step free access and an accessible toilet.
Transport & Parking
The car park is adjacent to the ferry terminal. The ferry is also served by a local bus, although it does run to meet all the ferry arrivals, so check with the bus company for times.
Access
There is step free, level access from the car park to the ticket office and accessible toilet. However, there is a slope down to board the boat.
Toilets
There are two accessible toilets next door to each other, see photo. Both have a manual door and require a RADAR key. I used the first accessible toilet. It is quite small but is absent of bulky bins. There are grab rails round the toilet but none at the sink. There is an emergency cord which reaches to the floor. The toilet was clean, tidy and well maintained.
Staff
I had no interaction with the staff as our minibus driver sorted out the tickets for our group.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Accessible and functional. Very pleased there was an accessible toilet. Would feel confident coming here again on my own, now I know that it is accessible.
